Workshop at the Romanian University of Theatre and Film – Make a film about refugees

Title

In a first-of-its kind initiative, five teams of film students from the University of Theatre and Film ‘I. L. Caragiale’ will make a series of documentary movies on topics related to refugees. They will have the support of three mentors who well known in Romanian film—Adina Pintilie, Ivana Mladenovic and Vanina Vignal. 

The students were selected through a competition. From October 2019 through May 2020, they will undertake all the steps to conceive and produce a documentary, including research for potential themes, filming, processing and production. The films are to be delivered by each team by 31 May 2020.

The initiative is the result of a partnership between UNHCR Romania, One World Romania and UNATC Bucharest. One World Romania is the organiser of the annual Documentary and Human Rights Film Festival One World.
