The Spanish Government has approved the establishment of funds amounting to 35 million euros that will finance activities organised by non-profit-organisations for the development of programmes targeting immigrants from third countries. Priority will be given to programmess that take into account the specific needs of women, youth, children, elderly, illiterate individuals, disabled persons, victims of torture, and victims of human trafficking.
Among the actions to be financed were included:
- Integration support
- Promotion of children and youth integration in the education system
- Equal treatment and non-discrimination in the workplace
