The Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in an exponential increase in hospital waste and a demand for labour to ensure its proper management. Thanks to the NGO Accem, around twenty refugees have been hired in Cáceres by Interlun, a company specialised in the management, transport and treatment of infectious biological waste in hospitals.
Since 2017, Accem has been running the AccemAriadna programme which offers free intermediation service to facilitate the social and labour market integration of applicants and beneficiaries of international protection.
