Portuguese flag

Applications for the 4th edition of the Intercultural School Seal, an initiative of the Portuguese General Directorate of Education (DGE) and the High Commission for Migrations are now open. The Intercultural School Seal distinguishes public, private or cooperative schools that, through educational programs and practices, promote the recognition and enhancement of cultural and linguistic diversity as an opportunity and a source of learning for all.

Awarded schools will receive a certificate and a digital stamp that can be used in letters and other communication documents for two consecutive academic years. There are 3 certification levels:

  • Level I:  Initiation
  • Level II: Intermediate
  • Level III: Advanced

Schools awarded with the Seal in the 2014/2015 school year, and wanting to improve their level of certification, can also submit an application. All applications from across the country must be completed and sent by 14 July 2016.
