In October 2018, an informal consortium of nine NGOs working on migrant and refugee issues in Poland began the implementation of their largest project entitled 'One for All, All for One'. The main aim of the project is to increase support for migrants and refugees in Poland.
The project consists of four components:
Nationwide
-
Providing direct assistance for refugees in Poland
-
Providing information on asylum seekers in Poland
-
Advocacy
Local
-
Providing counselling through advisory points for migrants in Warsaw, PoznaD, Lublin and Cracow
-
Sharing experience from advisory points and standardisation of advice
Voluntary
- Creating a base of volunteers and communications platform for volunteers of organisations belonging to the consortium
Leadership
- Creating a mentoring system for leaders of migrant and minority communities, including those outside large cities.
The project is financed by the Open Society Foundation and will last 12 months. The consortium of NGOs implementing the project was formed in 2016, as a result of working meetings to discuss changes in activities due to the freezing of the AMIF funds by the government and other challenges emerging in the area of migration.
