Poland: Launch of the Immigrants in Action platform

Untitled

Immigrants in Action is a platform, which is the center of communication for projects supervised by the Foundation for Somalia. These projects are aimed at foreigners from outside the EU residing in Poland, encouraging them to commence and maintain a professional activity. The second objective of Immigrants in Action project is to support intercultural dialogue. As part of the Immigrants in Action Foundation has three projects:

  • 'Intercultural Incubator for Migrant Organizations',
  • 'Actively+Legally',
  • 'Enterprising Immigrant'.

What’s worth to point out, the project beneficiaries themselves will co-create a platform by sharing information about their culture and traditions. They will also inspire others, by describing their progress in building business initiatives. The main objective of Immigrants in Action is to show creative, entrepreneurial people from third countries who have successfully cope in the Polish business reality.

There will be trainings and workshops organised for entrepreneurs and general audience. Foundation wants to help immigrants who decided to live in Poland to gain confidence and integrate with the host society. Therefore the projects will provide support in teaching Polish, legal advice and counselling and furthermore will support private business initiatives. On the other hand with help from the foreigners the foundation wants to show that cultural differences can lead to interesting and developing experiences and that immigration is no danger to the society.
