Flag Poland

A comprehensive Polish language programme and study materials for asylum seekers have been developed by the Linguae Mundi Foundation, in cooperation with the Office for Foreigners. Textbooks for level A1 and A2, as well as Polish-Russian and Polish-English phrasebooks have been specifically adjusted to the needs of newcomer asylum applicants and refugees. They have been designed not only to help foreigners learn the language but also to support them in adapting to Polish realities. The materials are to serve as a basis for teaching the Polish language in refugee centres.

Creating a coherent and motivating Polish language learning system was one of the recommendations included in the report of the Supreme Audit Office on the social and integration assistance for asylum seekers and refugees.within the framework of the project ‘Polish for a Good Start’.
