The Polish Migration Forum in partnership with the Childbirth with Dignity Foundation have started a project "I am a Mom in Poland" addressed to migrant women expecting a baby in Poland. The aim of the project will be, on the one hand, to help women prepare for labour and care of a new born baby in Poland, and on the other hand, to prepare medicall staff to the needs of migrant mothers.
Within the framework of the project the following events will be organised:
- three editions of Multicultural Schools of Birth, involving a hospital visit,
- two editions of 2-day multicultural workshops for Polish midwifes.
Two publications will be prepared:
- a brochure on labour and delivery in Poland,
- a leaflet for Polish medical staff on assisting women from another culture.
