Poland: Grants programme "Socially Responsible" opens call for proposals

The Totalizator Sportowy Foundation launched a call for proposals from projects under its Socially Responsible programme, which aims, among other things, to help people affected by the war in Ukraine.

The specific objectives of the programme include:

  1. to offer care, social assistance and support in Poland and abroad to people affected by war;
  2. to support social integration, adaptation processes and professional activation - in particular for refugees affected by armed conflict -, including promoting the development of skills useful for starting and developing a professional career in Poland;
  3. to carry out activities aimed at shaping intercultural dialogue in Poland;
  4. to contribute to the creation and development of a common social space that will provide a basis for cooperation and mutual support among the multicultural community of inhabitants of Poland;
  5. to seek solutions to emerging needs related to refugees arriving in Poland;
  6. to support initiatives related to the development of local communities, including the systems of integration, care and social assistance;
  7. to tackle social inequalities, discrimination, and prejudice.

The eligible areas of activity covered by the programme concern, in particular:

  1. provision of emergency, material, humanitarian and financial assistance;
  2. provision of specialised assistance (e.g. legal, psychological, medical);
  3. professional activation, including vocational counselling and the improvement of professional competencies;
  4. support for education and information programmes to disseminate information relevant to the objectives of the programme and undertaking educational activities, including free courses and training, conferences, lectures, awareness campaigns, etc.

Further details:

Applications may be submitted by entities acting in the public interest and not exclusively for profit, registered in Poland and operating in Poland or abroad. These include associations, foundations, schools, kindergartens, sports clubs, local government units, church legal entities, museums, community centres, libraries, other cultural institutions, medical institutions, orphanages and other organisations/institutions.

The foundation is accepting applications throughout the year until 31 December 2023.
