Austria: Increased integration budget

The government has earmarked a 500 million euros integration budget for the next two years. Public Employment Services will receive most of it (150 million) to strengthened labour market integration of refugees, 144 million euros will go to schools for extra language courses and the rest to the Ministries for Integration, Interior and Economy. In 2015, 37 million euros were provided to the Ministry for Integration and an additional 25 million came from the integration pot. Respectively, 77 and 94 million euros are planned in 2016 and 2017 for integration measures. Further information

Moreover, 625 million additional euro will go to the Interior Ministry until till 2020 for security and border control. Read more
