Open call for Active Citizens Fund in Malta - deadline extended

Title

The Active Citizens Fund (ACF) Malta aims to foster capacity building for civil society, strengthen support for human rights and social inclusion and increase citizen participation in civic activities. Projects supported by ACF should contribute to one of five outcomes:

  • Outcome 1 – Increased support for human rights and social inclusion
  • Outcome 2 – Increased citizen participation in civic activities
  • Outcome 3 – Enhanced capacity and sustainability of civil society
  • Outcome 4 – Enhanced collaboration between beneficiary and donor state entities involved in the programme
  • Outcome 5 – Strengthened regional (cross-border) cooperation in the civil society sector

The Active Citizens Fund is established under the Programme Area for Civil Society of the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021, financial contribution from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to 15 EU countries in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltic. In Malta, the fund is being administered by SOS Malta.

The total amount of funding available is €369,001. Funds from ACF will cover 90% of the proposed project budget. Projects should have a budget between €13,666.67 and €34,166.67. The deadline for proposals has been extended until 27th March 2020. See further requirements and application information
