Latvia: National Integration Centre provides more than 1000 consultations to third country nationals

The National Integration Centre (NIC) has published a summary of its achievements during the time period of July 2013 to June 2014.

Throughout past year, NIC has provided 585 face-to-face consultations to 720 third country nationals and 654 consultations were provided remotely, including consultations by psychologists and lawyers. NIC has also been organizing competitions, information days, awareness-raising campaigns, discussion events, different culture events and has also offered language tuition.


The aim of the NIC project is to develop as a sustainable coordination institution for improvement of support system for third country nationals’ integration into Latvian society. The main task of NIC is to ensure availability and quality of services to third country nationals.
