Italy: Deadline for National AMIF funding opportunity extended to 15 September

Title

On the basis of the inter-institutional Agreement signed on 28 May 2015 between the AMIF National Authority (Department of Immigration and Civil Liberties, Ministry of Interior Affairs) and the AMIF Delegated Authority (Directorate General of Immigration and Integration Policies, Ministry of Labour and Social Policies), a Multi-Action Call aiming at funding Regional Action Plans on Integration has been recently published. The deadline for the presentation of the proposals, initially set to 20 July, has been extended to 15 September 2016.

Only Regional Authorities and Autonomous Provinces are eligible for this funding opportunities, which amounts 31 million euros, and the actions proposed must relate to one of the following areas:

a) Strengthening the school system in multicultural contexts, also through actions against school drop-out;

b) Promoting access to integration services;

c) Setting up high-quality information services at regional and territorial level;

d) Supporting active participation of TCNs to economic, social and cultural life, also through empowerment of migrants’ associations.

Applications are to be submitted electronically. All necessary information and forms are accessible on the AMIF National Authority website.
