The ALSOS Foundation has launched a Call for Ideas to fund research in the field of migration and integration. It is currently welcoming research proposals with high social impact value in the creation of new spaces and practices for the cohabitation between migrants and the host society, as well as innovative approaches against racism and xenophobia.
15 Italian scholars in the social sciences and humanities, as well as other relevant fields will be selected to investigate how to actively involve public and private stakeholders such as local authorities, schools and businesses to build new forms of sociability. During a period of 18 months, the team will analyse the positive outcomes of informal practices and processes of social construction. Applicants are therefore invited to consider migration as an opportunity for innovation, creative experimentation and redefinition of identity. They are encouraged to apply their proposals to school, work, recreational areas, reception centers, places of worship, hospitals, but also to forms of communication which consciously or unconsciously convey racism. All eligibility criteria
Applications should be submitted by 19 March - 12am, using the online form available on the ALSOS foundation website.
Individual grants will amount to 45,000 € for the whole duration of the project.
