The Human Rights and Equality Grant Scheme 2017 is currently accepting project applications aiming to encourage a deeper culture of human rights and equality in Ireland. The Grant will support activities related to intercultural understanding and diversity, as well as those supporting the implementation of the public sector duty on equality and promoting positive intercultural relations and tolerance in Ireland.
This includes encouraging good practice:
- enhancing effective inter-faith dialogue,
- encouraging active engagement with different groups,
- raising awareness of the negative impact of racism and related forms of intolerance,
- opposing and addressing racism and related forms of intolerance,
- promoting pluralism and acceptance of differences and encouraging a culture of respect for freedom and dignity,
The closing date for receipt of applications is Wednesday 6 September 2017 at 5.00pm.
