Ireland: Funding available for pre-activation support to female refugees

The Dormant Accounts Fund is opening a call for proposals to fund platforms aiming to provide intensive and tailored support to address the specific barriers to employment female refugees and female family members of refugees come across. Successful applications will primarily focus on improving their employability through skills development, education, training and support to access the labour market. In particular:

  • provide tailored interventions that support the target group to access and participate in education and training
  • provide tailored pre-employment initiatives that support the target group to access and participate in employment.

A total of €500,000 is to be allocated to selected applications submitted at is 3pm on Wednesday 26 July 2017, at the latest.

The Dormant Accounts Fund is a scheme for the disbursement of unclaimed funds from accounts in credit institutions in Ireland. It operates through the Department of Justice and Equality.
