Czech Republic: Social assistance helpline for citizens of Ukraine

Flag Czech Republic EWSI

The Ministry of Labour, in cooperation with the Blue Line and the Czech Red Cross Prague, established a social assistance call centre, the LIA line, to provide support to refugees from Ukraine. The LIA line provides two types of service: social counselling and crisis intervention. The launch of the call line reflects the high level of demand for these services from both Ukrainian citizens in the Czech Republic and the organisations supporting them.

The social counselling service line focuses primarily on provision of information. Operators can answer questions on employment, social benefits, social care and prevention, child protection, inclusion in education and more. The helpline is available in five languages: Czech, Ukrainian, Russian, Romanian and Hungarian. It is contactable on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The crisis intervention service line provides psychological support in Ukrainian and Russian to people affected by the conflict. It is contactable on weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m, and at the weekend from 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The call centre can be contacted via +420 800 601 020.

More detailed information about the service can be found here in Czech, Ukrainian and Russian.
