Czech Republic: Increased funding for municipalities supporting arrivals from Ukraine

The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic published a programme for the funding of municipal projects supporting the integration of temporary protection holders at the local level. The programme give municipalities, voluntary associations of municipalities, cities or urban districts the opportunity to apply for additional funds for their own integration activities.  

Activities supported by the interior ministry include local coordination of integration, counselling, language courses, leisure activities for children, and activities that promote successful coexistence. 

Municipalities can apply for funding as follows:

  • Round 1: 31 July 2022 
  • Round 2: 18 September 2022 
  • Round 3: 30 October 2022

The money must be spent by the end of 2022, and the co-financing rate is 5%.
