Czech Republic: Funding opportunity for services promoting the employment and social inclusion of migrants

The Employment Plus programme - financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) - announced 2 funding calls for activities aimed at promoting the integration of foreigners.

Call 019: Support for people disadvantaged on the labour market

Under this call, 2-year projects aimed at supporting migrants and asylum seekers, including temporary protection holders, with a maximum budget of 10 million CZK (approximately 400 000 EUR) will be supported. The total allocation of funding for this call is 100 million CZK (approximately 4 million EUR).

Eligible applicants are NGOs, educational and advisory institutions, municipalities, and voluntary associations of municipalities. Eligible activities include the following:

  • Advisory and information activities and programmes
  • Motivational activities
  • Re-training and education
  • Development of basic skills for employment including Czech language courses
  • Job placement and employment  
  • Support for flexible forms of employment

Call 099: Services supporting the social inclusion of people from Ukraine

Under this call, 2-year projects with a maximum budget of 10 million CZK (approximately 400 000 EUR) will be supported. The total allocation of funding for this call is 200 million CZK (approximately 8 million EUR).

Eligible applicants are NGOs, social service providers, and local action groups. Eligible activities include:

  • provision of social services to citizens of Ukraine;
  • coordination and provision of support and assistance addressing the complex adverse social situation of refugees and their families.
