Czech Republic: Extraordinary social services subsidies for temporary protection holders

Flag Czech Republic EWSI

The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs announced a call for applications from providers of social services, for extraordinary subsidies being granted by the state budget. The purpose of the subsidies is to ensure provision of social care services to temporary protection holders displaced from Ukraine.

Eligible applications are those concerning services delivered and expenses incurred between 1 January and 31 December 2024. Eligible applicants are registered social service providers under the terms of the Social Services Act.

The subsidy is intended for partial funding of social services in the following situations:

  • A foreigner with temporary protection is prevented from covering the cost of a paid social service (e.g. accommodation in social care facilities).
  • The service provider incurs increased costs in providing services to individuals from Ukraine (e.g. staffing; interpreting services; translation).

The deadline for grant applications is 31 October 2024.
