Czech Republic: Extraordinary grants procedure for integration services

The Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic has announced an extraordinary grants procedure for the implementation or co-financing of projects that contribute to meeting state policy objectives in the field of the integration of foreigners, with regard to the topic of equal opportunities for women and men. The aim of the grants procedure is to strengthen the provision of integration services for special visa and temporary protection holders in the Czech Republic, in particular refugees fleeing the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Supported activities:

Eligible activities include the provision of social and legal counselling for foreigners, intercultural work, coordination and other activities for volunteers and intercultural workers, training of actors in the field of integration, psychological services, production of relevant information materials and resources, interpreting services and translations, extracurricular activities for newly arrived pupils and students, community relationship building, streetwork focused on the target group, and the coverage of personal costs and salaries for lecturers, of renting classrooms and of providing courses.

Eligible applicants: 

Civil society organisations, churches, foundations, and regional and municipal authorities operating integration centres are all eligible under this grants procedure.

Grants are being financed by the state budget, and can cover up to 100% of a project's budget. Awarded grants are intended for the period 24 February 2022 - 31 December 2022. The deadline for applications is 25 April 2022.
