On 25 November, the Latvian Ministry of Culture opened a call for project proposals for non-governmental organizations working on integration. The call focused on five thematic areas, some of them also covering the integration of migrants like preserving the cultural diversity of ethnic minorities and enhancing civic participation. Other priorities were preserving the culture and language of Livs, strengthening the written Latgalian language, and preserving the identity of Latvians living abroad. The total amount of the budget for these projects is 28 288 LVL (40 250 EUR). The deadline for applications was 7 December.
