The EU institutions appoint external experts to assist in the evaluation of grant applications, projects and tenders, and to provide opinions and advice in specific cases.

Currently, the European Commission (EC) is looking to establish lists of independent external experts to assist the activities related to projects under the different EU funds. 

The EC's Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME) in particular is looking for external experts to assist the evaluation of the latest 2020 calls under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF). Please note DG HOME is particularly interested in the applications of practitioners.
