Bucharest Community Foundation and ING create emergency fund for vulnerable groups

Title

The Bucharest Community Foundation and ING have launched an emergency fund addressing the most critical needs of vulnerable groups in Romania, including food, hygienic items and medication. The fund is managed by the Bucharest Community Foundation in partnership with the network of community foundations from across the country.

NGOs providing direct services to these groups are invited to apply. An organisation can receive a grant of minimum €1,000 and maximum €5,000. Interested organisations should contact the local community foundation from the area where it is currently working (see list here). For Bucharest and Ilfov county, the email contact is ilinca@fundatiacomunitarabucuresti.ro.

The process to obtain funds involves a preliminary assessment of the candidate organisation, to be made by one of the local community foundations. If the applying organisation is eligible, an application form will be sent by email, to be completed by the candidate organisation.

The deadline for applications is 16 May 2020 at 20:00 (Romania local time). All information about application and requirements can be found on the website of the Bucharest Community Foundation.
