The European Commission and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) launched an open call for civil society organisations interested in participating in the 8th European Migration Forum, taking place on 4 - 5 December 2023 in Brussels. The call will identify organisations working on relevant topics whose expertise can bring added value to the European debate on migration.
The forum brings together a wide range of participants from civil society, relevant national authorities of EU countries, and EU institutions. Further information on the usual structure of the event can be found here. This year's edition, entitled ‘Migrants in Europe today: specific needs, skills and communication for stronger inclusion' will address how to identify and support migrants and refugees with specific needs, examine public attitudes and communication on migration and inclusion, and discuss sustainable labour market integration.
Participating organisations will be selected based on the relevance of their activities and expertise to the topic of the meeting, and the selection procedure will ensure both a balanced geographical representation among participants and a diversity of fields of expertise, activities and types of organisation.
A maximum of 120 civil society organisations will be selected. The call will close on 14 September 2023: find further information here, or access the application form here.
