AMIF: Operational programme for the Czech Republic

Flag Czech Republic EWSI

The Operational Programme of the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (OP AMIF) is the underlying strategic document for the implementation of financial support from AMIF for the period 2021 - 2027. The total financial allocation of the AMIF OP for this period for the Czech Republic is roughly EUR 70 million (CZK 1.7 billion).

This funding will mainly support the integration of foreigners into Czech society, including Ukrainian citizens currently residing in the Czech Republic. The AMIF OP is therefore another instrument being used to address the consequences of the current migration wave brought about by the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

The programme will be used, among other things, to provide Czech language training, counselling and assistance in tackling difficult life situations to those that need it. It will also be spent on carrying out return policy, such as ensuring a dignified return for people who no longer have the right to stay in the Czech Republic. Other supported activities include providing foreigners with adequate information on their rights and obligations, such as through a special call centre run by the Ministry of the Interior, and projects for the renewal of asylum and integration infrastructure.
