Flag of Slovakia

The Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic announced a new funding opportunity that aims to support the cultural activities of people from disadvantaged social groups including migrants, beneficiaries of international protection and people with disabilities.

Eligible activities include those that:

  • promote equal opportunities for disadvantaged groups;
  • facilitate integration into Slovak society;
  • work towards the prevention and elimination of all forms of violence, discrimination, racism, xenophobia and extremism;
  • promote tolerance education;
  • strengthen social and family cohesion and the development of intercultural dialogue;
  • involve the delivery of non-formal education or research projects.

In addition to supporting cultural activities, the funding will support periodical publications that promote equality in the field of cultural activity and share knowledge and information on the lives and cultures of disadvantaged groups in Slovakia. Non-periodical publications are also eligible, as are electronic media initiatives.

The Ministry of Culture has allocated 1 060 000€ for this call. The deadline for submission of applications is 7 June 2022.
