Poland: National grants competition for integration initiatives

Flag of Poland

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Poland is inviting schools and educational actors to participate in a national grants competition. The competition aims to support local integration activities in primary and secondary schools for children and young people from both local and migrant communities. It was created in consultation with the Ministry of National Education.

Eligible applicants are schools, public institutions, and NGOs collaborating with schools.

The initiative focuses on promoting integration within multicultural educational settings. Activities may include school-based projects, sports events, city games, and theatre, arts or crafts workshops aimed at preventing exclusion and discrimination based on origin. These activities should incorporate the principles of IOM's "social mixing" methodology.

Grants of up to 11 000 PLN will be awarded to cover 100% of the cost of selected activities, which must be planned to take place from 1 February 2025 - 15 May 2025.

The deadline for submitting grant applications is 3 November 2024.
