The Employability Hub in Cyprus, run by NGO Generation for Change CY, launched its spring 2024 ICT and language courses.
The aim of the courses is to empower disadvantaged individuals to boost their skills in order to find employment in Cyprus. Specifically, the ICT skills course will help participants improve their digital literacy, while the language courses offer learners the opportunity to learn basic- and intermediate-level Greek and basic English. The course programme is supported by the European Network Against Racism (ENAR)'s Empowerment and Resilience Fund, which is financed by the ENAR Foundation, Universitas Foundation and Bridges for Tomorrow.
The courses have attracted significant interest and will be attended by 57 individuals (56% of whom are women) from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds. Registered participants come from 15 different countries, the majority of which are third countries outside Europe.
