This case study published by the European Network of civil society organisations on social justice - Solidar describes the project A Taste of Home. From a small initiative aiming to enable refugees to share their life stories and culinary skills with the host population in Croatia, it evolved into an (self-) employment opportunity for them.
As analysed on EWSI just a few month ago, A Taste of Home is a culinary, cultural, economic and research project initiated by the Centre for Peace Studies. Volunteers also provide support on integration, social participation and inclusion of asylum seekers and refugees within local communities.
