The first event of the Zagreb, open city programme will be held on 18 December 2022 to coincide with International Migrants Day. Organised by Ribnjak youth centre and the City of Zagreb, through EU project Connection, the programme is a year-long series of creative workshops, concerts and performances designed to promote a welcoming culture in the city.

The afternoon will begin with two theatrical performances for children, and will continue with five free handicraft workshops for those of all ages. In the evening there will be musical performances - entry to which will be free - from Zbor Domaći gosti, African musicians from the Pan-African Friendship Society, and JALL AUX YEUX, a francophone band from Bihać.   1. African mask making (Dialogue Culture Center) - all ages
  2. Canvas bag painting workshop (Are you Syrious?) - all ages
  3. Storytelling workshop for children and young people (Education centre) 
  4. Coasters and pine decorations workshop (Youth Centre Ribnjak/Hurtok) - all ages
  5. Painting with Karzan (Dialogue Culture Center) – for adults
