One World Romania

Flag of Romania

International documentary and human rights film festival One World Romania will take place from 5 - 14 April in Bucharest and online. This year's focus is the concept of choice in different contexts, including war and conflict, artificial intelligence, exploitation of natural resources, deprivation of rights, socio-economic and geopolitical insecurity, and ethnic, gender and class discrimination.

The main strand of the festival will include films that mirror the resilience of - and the oftentimes conflicting relationship between - individual and collective realities. Other strands will approach sensitive topics related to identity, power and status.

The best film will be selected by a jury of 15 high school students who will be guided by two mentors through relevant issues of human rights, civic participation and documentary film making.

Further details on the event and the full programme can be found here.
