This seminar on 25 August 2021 has been organised to promote and facilitate discussion of a document produced by Konsorcjum (in English, 'consortium') - a group of social organisations working on behalf of migrants and refugees in Poland.
Entitled 'Migration Policy of Poland - Main Directions and Assumptions', the document around which the seminar is to be structured contains a set of recommendations and guidelines which, according to the consortium, should form the basis of Polish migration policy. These recommendations are grouped into four topics:
- access to and residence in Poland;
- security and well-being of the individual;
- integration and community;
- global solidarity.
The seminar's introductory comments will be provided by academics from the University of Warsaw, the University of WrocBaw and the Cracow University of Economics. The event will be held in Polish, and is open to all practitioners working in the areas of migration and migration policy.
The document in question can be viewed online here in advance of the event. It is not related to the recently-published government document on Poland's migration policy.
