The AMIF project Participation in Small- and Medium-Sized Towns: Experiences, Exchanges, Experiments (PISTE) invites all to its final event on 25 January at the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce in Brussels.
The event is meant for policymakers, experts and researchers at local and supra-local level to exchange policy experiences and practices about the participation of people with a migration background in small and medium-sized towns in Europe.
The event will start at 11:30 CET and will present the main results from the PISTE project. There will also be a round table with experts, as well as parallel work groups on good practices about civic and political participation. The conference will also present the final output of the project, the White paper on immigrants’ participation in small and medium-sized towns.
The 2-year PISTE project is funded by the European Commission (EC)'s Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) and aims to improve the quality of civic and integration policies by promoting the participation of migrants in the design, implementation and evaluation of integration policies and their peer assessment in small and medium-sized towns. The project partners are based in Belgium, Germany, Greece and Italy, and include the University of Urbino Carlo Bo, the University of Antwerp, the University of Applied Sciences of Erfurt, Human Rights 360, as well as the municipalities of Bebra, Fermignano, Ninove and Voios.
