Cyprus: World Refugee Day street festival

In celebration of World Refugee Day 2024, the Cyprus Refugee Council and Bridges for Tomorrow are organising an open street festival on 14 June in Nicosia, Cyprus. Welcoming people from all backgrounds, including refugees, locals and migrants, the celebration aims to foster unity, cooperation and deeper appreciation for diversity and inclusion around the island. 

 

Attendees will have the opportunity to taste traditional dishes from various countries, explore handmade crafts, and enjoy world music from DJ Joralsky. The festival promises to be an unforgettable opportunity to connect with different cultures and gain insights into the work of local organisations dedicated to supporting the seamless integration of refugees and other migrants into Cypriot society.

 

This event is organised under by UNHCR Cyprus and the Nicosia municipality, with support from multiple organisations. Participation is free of charge.
