Brasov, Romania – Multicultural Day, 7th Edition

Brasov Multicultural Day is an annual celebration of cultural diversity in the city of Brasov, Romania, taking place this year on 5 October 2019. Organised by the Migrant Integration Center, the Multicultural Day will encourage intercultural dialogue and improve mutual understanding, communication and cooperation among people from different cultures.

Performances

Members of migrant communities living in Brasov will showcase their talents through traditional dance and theatrical performances, music, presentations of their home countries, poetry recitals and other art forms.

Exhibitions

The event will feature traditional crafts, clothing, foods, artworks and country-specific items at exhibition stalls.

Exhibition stalls will be open at 11:00, and performances will begin at 14:00. This year, the event is funded by the municipality of Brasov with the support of the embassies of Cuba, Venezuela, Ukraine and Colombia. The UN Agencies in Romania, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organization for Migration will also be present at the event.
