This event will look at the evolution of civil society responses to humanitarian crises in Poland (using the case studies of those fleeing the war in Ukraine and the crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border), including both (un)official NGO initiatives and individual, citizen-led initiatives.
The event will be a two-part workshop examining learnings from the civil society response to those fleeing Ukraine, taking first an academic perspective and then a non-governmental perspective. It is aimed at civil society and the NGO and research sectors, as well as any other actors involved in provision of humanitarian aid to those fleeing the war in Ukraine.
