Poland: Integration and welcoming of refugees in Lublin

Flag of Poland

The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights is organising a meeting on the integration and welcoming of refugees in Poland.

During the meeting, the example of the city of Lublin and the Social Committee for Ukraine - which was established in Lublin on 24 February following the invasion of Ukraine by Russia - will be presented as an example of good practice at the local level. Discussion will also focus on how it was made possible for an informal partnership to coordinate assistance in Lublin.

The meeting is open to everyone working with refugees from Ukraine on a daily basis, including employees of public administration, employees of social assistance centres, NGO activists and lawyers. Particularly welcome are those creating networks and support groups for refugees or responsible for municipal systems of assistance for refugees.

The meeting is being organised as part of the Safe Home project, which is co-financed by the Home Affairs funding programme implemented under the Norwegian Funds 2014-2021.
