The German Centre for Integration and Migration Research (DeZIM), the Polish Committee on Migration Research of Polish Academy of Science (KBNM PAN) and the Centre of Migration Research (CMR) of the University of Warsaw are hosting an online conference on 28 April 2022 to discuss the reception of refugees arriving from Ukraine.
The event will be divided into three panels:
- The first panel will focus on the role of both civil society and the state in providing assistance to refugees, and will also discuss the issue of who receives assistance and who does not.
- The second panel will be devoted to the topic of successful refugee integration, especially those refugees with specific needs and women and children, who make up the majority of those arriving from Ukraine.
- The third and final panel will discuss the future of the refugee system in the European Union based on the ongoing experience of the "unbureaucratic acceptance" of refugees fleeing Ukraine.
To participate, please register via veranstaltungen@dezim-institut.de by 27 April 2022.
