Finnish-Swedish Integration Days: Is the Nordic region inclusive?

During this year's Finnish-Swedish Integration Days, the Nordic Welfare Centre will host a seminar entitled "Is the Nordic region inclusive? Foreign-born people as a resource in society and work".

The seminar will be held in both Swedish and Finnish, and there will be live speech-to-text interpretation (subtitles) into English. The seminar is free of charge and open to practitioners as well as civil society.

Discussion topics will include the following questions:

  • How can we become better at recognising people with a migrant background as a resource?
  • What can the Nordic countries learn from each other to improve matching, to broaden recruitment and to build education programmes that lead to jobs?

Additionally, examples of integration work from different parts of the Nordic region will be presented.

The Finnish-Swedish Integration Days will be held on 4 - 5 October 2023. They are organised in collaboration with the Swedish People's Parliament Svenska (Finlands folkting), the Education Alliance (Bildningsalliansen), and the Finish Association of Municipalities (Kommunförbundet).
