Festival [fjúžn]

Festival Fjuzn 2023

Since 2006 the Milan Šimečka Foundation has been organising an annual, multi-genre festival that puts issues of migration, cultural diversity, social cohesion, and integration to the fore. Festival [fúžn] is the most significant event nationwide in terms of sensitisation on migration and integration.

At this year's festival, the theme of which is 'understanding', the Milan Šimečka Foundation - in cooperation with Duke cartoon and Nová Cvernovka - will introduce attendees to the lives of those migrants living in Slovakia who are not often heard or seen in society.

The festival programme is a rich combination of concerts, exhibitions, literature, theatre, film, workshops, lectures, presentations, discussions, community events, children's programmes, school events, and much more. Selected events, such as Ukrainian Sunday, are dedicated to those who have fled to Slovakia as a result of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
