Countering misinformation within refugee and migrant populations

Title

The International Rescue Committee (IRC), in partnership with the US Mission to the European Union, is hosting the third in its webinar series on countering misinformation.

This third event on Tuesday 6 July will explore how participatory decision making can support refugee civic engagement and counter misinformation, drawing on examples and best practices from New Women Connectors, Refugee Congress, the International Organization for Migration, the International Catholic Migration Commission and the IRC.

The event will focus on civic engagement and democratic processes during the COVID-19 crisis and outline models for participatory influence, with examples centred on leadership development, refugee-led initiatives, and involving refugee residents in important civic processes.
