Athens - Back to school: Formal Educational Paths in Greece for Refugees and Asylum Seekers

Title

Are you over fifteen years old and want to continue your education, but you are not sure what options exist in Greece? Do you wish to keep working, but you also miss going to school? Are you willing to get your high-school degree and continue on to higher education even if have you been out of school for many years?

Workshops led by the team of Generation 2.0 for Rights, Equality & Diversity (G2RED), an NGO for equal rights and diversity, and supported by the International Rescue Committee, will guide refugees and asylum-seekers in Greece through their options for Formal Secondary Education and help them figure out the best options for their educational paths.

The workshops for refugees and asylum-seekers in Greece will take place on 4 September 2018 from 10:00 to 13:00 at G2RED's office in Athens. The workshops will be in English with interpretation available for Farsi, Arabic and Greek speakers.

There is no cost to attend, but spaces are limited. To reserve a spot, please send an email to k.kapnisi@g2red.org stating the workshop you wish to participate in, your full name, a telephone number and the language group you can attend (English, Farsi, Arabic or Greek).

Please note: Urban transport tickets will be provided for the transport of refugees and asylum-seekers during the day of the workshop.
